Comments versus Notes
Haven't finished my training yet so this may become obvious but is there a difference here - will one show up on patron record screen and not the other?
In Check Out - When a User has an available hold or a charge (Fine) on their record Alerts and Notes both appear when their card is scanned. When their is no Alert (hold or charge)then the notes do not come up.

The Comments field was used in the past to list information about Lost Paids. As a rule, circ staff will no longer be using Comments.
